In all transparency, I cannot claim to have read his books completely but I follow his Facebook page & love his articles, and all his books on Amazon have 4-5 star reviews. For basic essential oil info, he recommends "Surviving When Modern Medicine Fails". If you're an experienced user who likes research/science, then get "Evidence-based Essential Oil Therapyor "Medicinal Essential Oils".
